Sky Sports understands a number of Championship clubs are keeping tabs on Burton Albion forward Adam McGurk.
McGurk has caught the eye at Burton after arriving on a free transfer from Tranmere in the summer.
The 24-year-old has scored seven goals in all competitions despite playing in a wide position and his performances have not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the Football League.
McGurk was attracting the interest of a number of Championship sides last season at Tranmere before suffering the setback of a collapsed lung at Prenton Park.
The attacker enjoyed a two-week trial at Birmingham after leaving Tranmere before Burton moved in to lure him to the Pirelli Stadium.
Burton are now bracing themselves for interest in the former Aston Villa youngster when the transfer window reopens in January.
