Rochdale have completed the signing Crewe winger Lee Molyneux on loan until January 6.
The 24-year-old will go straight into Keith Hill's squad for Saturday's league game at Exeter.
Hill told Rochdale's official website: "He was a player that I was chasing in the summer and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to recruit that type of player when I was made aware of his availability.
"I know how much he wants to come, so it was a no-brainer.
"It's good to recruit players when we're doing well and I think it's a stimulus for the players that we've got and a stimulus for the player coming in.
"Lee is an exceptional technical player and he'll fit right into the functional necessity of our team, either as a left sided player, a central player, a right sided player, a number 10 or a possible left-back, so it's one size fits all."
Molyneux joined Crewe from Accrington in the summer, but has struggled to hold down a regular place in the starting line-up at Gresty Road.
He has made nine appearances for Steve Davis's side this season, five from the substitutes' bench.
