Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander was left fuming with the officials after seeing his side suffer a last-gasp 1-0 defeat at Northampton.
Luke Norris struck his fifth goal in six games to grab the stoppage-time winner with a superb free-kick to end Fleetwood's run of four wins on the trot in all competitions.
Alexander said: "I'm flabbergasted. We didn't get what we deserved and I can't believe we've lost the game.
"There's nothing the players could have done to prevent the winning goal. It wasn't a free-kick, it's as simple as that. The players told me it was the linesman who gave it but I don't know what for, it's a waste of time speaking to the referees.
"If the linesman can pick out a foul that nobody is claiming for and nobody else has seen then he must have brilliant eyesight. That was par for the course for the day. It wasn't a free-kick from Parky (Jon Parkin) on the touchline and we had things like that all day.
"We've had three players booked in the game and we're not a dirty team. I'm finding it hard to stay on the right side of the line."
