Nigel Worthington is grateful for York's home draw in the FA Cup if his side can overcome Bristol Rovers in next week's replay.
The two sides drew 3-3 at the Memorial Stadium last weekend and will resume at Bootham Crescent next Tuesday with a home tie against Crawley awaiting the winners.
"It's always nice to get a home tie in the FA Cup, it's the first thing you look for as a player, manager or a fan," Worthington said.
"So the carrot's there for both us and Bristol Rovers. We're expecting another very tough game.
"The FA Cup is special. It was an exciting game down there on Saturday and we're very pleased to still be in it with a good chance of going through.
"It will be another exciting game for our supporters at Bootham Crescent, but it will be as tough as it was in the previous game because both sides will be going hammer and tongs."
