Dagenham manager Wayne Burnett was delighted with his side's performance during their 2-0 home win over Bristol Rovers.
The Daggers had a man-of-the-match performance from goalkeeper Chris Lewington, coupled with goals from Abu Ogogo and Luke Howell, to thank for the points.
Captain Ogogo opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Daggers goalkeeper Chris Lewington pushed away a powerful Matt Harrold penalty in the 56th minute.
But Luke Howell sealed the points in the 72nd minute heading in a Zavon Hines left-wing corner.
"I felt in the first half we played good football at times," he said. "And I think we deserved to go in in front, but again it was similar to last week where we couldn't capitalise on the pressure that we had.
"You think is it going to be the same as the previous week, but we stuck in there.
"We were resilient and I spoke to the players at half time and results like this can determine your season, and to be fair to them they played well. Bristol Rovers put us under a bit of pressure, and I thought it is going to be the same when they got the penalty.
"I'm absolutely delighted, I'm so pleased, and people may forget that we had two 18-year-olds playing - Jack Connors and Afi Obafemi - and it shows how encouraging it is for our players and for this football club."
