Rochdale's new loan signing Graham Cummins is relishing the prospect of making his debut for the club against local rivals Bury.
The 25-year-old Preston striker, scheduled to stay at Spotland until January, could make his first appearance for Dale in Saturday's derby clash with Bury.
"I'm grateful that I could get out on loan and I'm looking forward to getting started," Cummins told Rochdale's official website.
"I'm itching to go and I'm really looking forward to Saturday's game against Bury because that is a massive game."
Cummins added: "I think for any player it's always frustrating sitting in the stands, but the gaffer at Preston (Simon Grayson) is a top guy and he always keeps you involved so you never feel out of the team.
"In fairness to him, he wanted me to go out on loan to get games and I'm really delighted to come to Rochdale because it's a great club.
"I've talked to Shane (Cansdell-Sherriff), who spent time on loan at Dale last season and David Buchanan, and they can't speak highly enough of it."
