Morsy injury not a worry

The injury Sam Morsy sustained against Wolves is nothing to worry about, according to Chesterfield first-team coach Kevin Lynch.

Morsy, who joined the Spireites from Port Vale last month, came off in the second half of Tuesday night's friendly nursing a calf problem. However, Lynch expects the combative midfielder to be fine for Chesterfield's final pre-season match against Sheffield Wednesday at the Proact Stadium on Saturday. "It was just a challenge from their lad that I thought was a bit unnecessary to be honest," said Lynch following his side's 2-1 home loss to Wolves. "He didn't need to go down the back of him. It's just stud marks down the back of his calf, it's not a pull or a strain or anything like that. "It's nothing to worry about and I'm sure Sam, as brave as he is, won't let it affect him and he'll be ready for the next game on Saturday."
