Sky Sports understands Rochdale are poised to sign former Barnsley winger Matt Done.
Done is available on a free transfer after being released by Barnsley earlier this summer.
The 24-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Hibernian, making seven appearances for the Easter Road outfit.
Done enjoyed one season at Rochdale in 2010-11, scoring five goals in 33 games before being signed by Barnsley.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill is a big fan of Done having worked with him at Spotland and Barnsley and he is keen to be reunited with the winger again.
Done is thought to have agreed a one-year deal to make the move back to the League Two club.
