Oxford United are lining up a move for Scunthorpe defender Callum Kennedy, Sky Sports understands.
Oxford boss Chris Wilder is keen to bolster his defensive options ahead of next season and has targeted a move for the left-back.
Kennedy started his career at Swindon, helping them win the League Two title, before leaving to join Scunthorpe last summer.
The 23-year-old made 18 appearances for the Iron last season and he impressed at Glanford Park.
Scunthorpe are reluctant to lose Kennedy, but Oxford are hopeful of luring the defender to the Kassam Stadium as they continue their rebuilding plans for next season.
