Bristol Rovers manager John Ward has announced that Stuart Naylor will remain as goalkeeping coach at the Memorial Ground.

The 50-year-old, whose goalkeeping career spanned more than 20 years, took up the role until the end of last season but will now stay with the Pirates in a full-time role. Ward told the club's official website: "Stuart is going to stay, which is great, he is a local boy and I know him from days gone by. "He worked with us at the tail-end of last season, and he was excellent. "I think it is a really good move to have that kind of person on board, with his knowledge, and I trust him, and I think that is key as well." Naylor began coaching at the end of his playing career at Rushden and Diamonds before spells with Oldham and then Bristol City.
