Gareth Ainsworth believes improved home form will be key to challenging for promotion next term after a 2-1 win at Adams Park over Aldershot.
Matt McClure put Wycombe ahead early in the second half before Craig Stanley equalised for the away team, only for Joel Grant to pounce against his former club after 75 minutes.
"To be a top side you've got to do well at home and today's a good step in creating a home fortress and I want people to come here fearing they're going to get a tough game," he said.
"The way we attacked we looked like we could score a lot of goals. It's a great win for us and I'm really happy with where we are but we're really desperate to get into the top half now.
"There's no nothing games, every games got something on it. People are probably coming here thinking Wycombe have nothing to play for and how wrong they're going to be because we've got everything to play for.
"I've got a proud set of lads here who want to win and finish the season on a high.
"I'm a big believer in momentum if we can finish the season on a high we can take it into next season and hopefully build on this."
