Evans to call on experience

Steve Evans is hoping his recent experience of winning promotion can help his Rotherham side get over the line this season.

The 50-year-old is chasing a third successive rise after back-to-back successes at Crawley and will call on all of his know-how to help deliver the Millers into the top three of League Two. They are currently three points off third-placed Burton with a game in hand ahead of Saturday's visit of Fleetwood. "The biggest thing you learn is that if you win or lose a game you have to keep it on a level keel," he said. "Experience says it's never lost on a single result or never won on a single result. "When you break down the list of who's going for promotion and you look at the manager's CVs there aren't too many promotions on there, which shows how hard football is. "I don't know if it gives me an advantage, it will help me be more balanced and react to a situation better. "But it is essential the players handle the pressure as well."
