Alexander: We deserved more

Graham Alexander: Less than satisfied

Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander felt his team deserved all three points after drawing with Bradford.

In the end Town were perhaps fortunate to get one after a contentious penalty decision allowed substitute Jon Parkin to equalise from the penalty spot in a 2-2 draw at Highbury.

Alexander said: "We've probably created enough chances in the first half to be two or three up when they scored. It was a great free-kick.

"Then we've given away a goal that was entirely our fault. But we've dug in and got ourselves back into the game.

"I won't say I'm happy with a point because I think we could have taken all three."

Fleetwood grabbed the lead midway through the first half. Junior Brown's effort was tipped around the post by Bradford goalkeeper Matt Duke before Alan Goodall headed home at the near post from the resulting corner.

But the visitors struck back just before the break. Nathan Pond brought down Bantams skipper Gary Jones and Nahki Wells' free-kick floated beautifully over the wall and past Scott Davies in the Fleetwood goal.

Shortly after the break Phil Parkinson's side took the lead. Will Atkinson's long ball eluded Brown and Shaun Beeley and substitute Ryan Dickson capitalised to slot a low shot past Davies.

Parkin's penalty handed the hosts a way back into the game - his blasted effort sneaking beneath Duke after James Hanson was judged to have handled the ball in the area 15 minutes from time.
