Winger Dave Martin has left Southend United after terminating his contract by mutual consent.
Martin's deal at Roots Hall was due to expire in the summer and he has come to a mutual agreement to cancel his stay early.
The former Derby and Millwall winger has struggled to hold down a regular place in Paul Sturrock's side this season and he is keen to move on in search of regular first-team football.
Martin's representative, Darryl Powell, has confirmed the player is hoping to fix himself up with a new club before the close of the transfer window.
"We have agreed with Southend to cancel Dave's contract by mutal consent," Powell told Sky Sports.
"We are now considering our options and hope to find a new club before the end of the transfer window."
