Accrington will rename their stadium after agreeing a shirt sponsorship and stadium naming rights deal with Store First.

Under the three-year agreement with the north west storage company, understood to be worth a six-figure sum to the League Two club, Stanley's Crown Ground is now known as the Store First Stadium. Leam Richardson's side play AFC Wimbledon in a vital match at their newly-christened home on Saturday, where they will sport the club's new third strip - specially commissioned in Store First's colours of blue and yellow. Accrington managing director Rob Heys said: "It was great in our non-league days - we were a big fish in a small pond - but we always wanted to move on and move up and now we're in the Football League we have to accept we're one of the smaller clubs with small attendances and it's kind of a battle to stay here. "So we're always looking for support from other people and for Store First to come along and take the front of the shirt and the Stadium sponsorship is huge for Accrington. "It's nice to have some money from large sponsors such as Store First and it's also nice that it's a local company as well. "You look at some of the Premier League teams, not to be critical of them, and they've got people sponsoring them from the other side of the world and I think it's fantastic when you can get a local sponsor with local people that support the local football club." Current shirt sponsor Cleverboxes are in discussions to sign a sponsorship deal with Accrington's youth academy.
