Holdsworth: Looking to the positives
Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth admitted getting off the bottom of League Two was significant after a 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon.
Stacy Long equalised for the Dons 13 minutes from time to deny the visitors the opportunity to move out of the League Two drop zone and claim a first league win in four attempts, although the Shots did move up a place to 23rd.
"They (his players) are all disappointed but overall I'm really delighted with the performance and if they keep playing like that I'm going to be really, really happy," Holdsworth said.
"We have come off the bottom, I'm delighted by that, I'm really delighted by that. We don't want to look down anymore we want to look up.
"We played with a lot of honesty and I'm disappointed for the players. I thought they were outstanding. We were brilliant in spells and to concede the goal from a free-kick is disappointing but we have played really, really well.
"We have created, which is very important, we have created very good chances. I thought we were on the front foot all the time. I thought it was one of the best first-half performances away from home for a long time. It is a good point but we deserved more."
