Bentley amazed by Dunbavin

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley felt Accrington goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin gave a Premier League performance in the side's 0-0 draw.

Dunbavin made three top-drawer saves during normal time to frustrate a Morecambe side who have still to beat Stanley in 11 Football League meetings. The stopper flew to his right-hand side to tip away a stinging Jack Redshaw drive and followed that up by pushing Lewis Alessandra curling effort to safety. He saved the best for last, though, as he superbly tipped away Richard Brodie's spot-kick after the Shrimps were given a late chance to take the points. "If that was a Premier League game people would be raving about his performance for weeks on end," Bentley said. "He was brilliant and he made some amazing saves to keep us out. I still don't really know how we didn't win the game because we played some great stuff and created some great chances but couldn't put them away."
