Micky Adams is delighted his Port Vale players are finally believing in themselves after a 3-0 win over Oxford cemented second place.
Oxford collapsed after Ashley Vincent's goal early in the second half added to Tom Pope's opener, and Adams now hopes his "close-knit group" can live up to his own expectations.
The Vale manager said: "I know what I've got in the dressing room and I'm very pleased that the players are also starting to believe we are a good side.
"Some people have raised concerns about our home form, but that was only because our away results have been so good.
"I wasn't concerned, but that performance would have answered any questions because the players have responded magnificently."
