Teenage midfielder Emyr Huws was delighted with his Northampton debut after joining the League Two club on loan until the New Year.
The 19-year-old signed from Manchester City until January 5 and had a hand in one of the goals as the Cobblers ran out 3-0 winners against Exeter.
And the Wales Under-19 international is glad to be getting the chance to prove himself, even in a league renowned for its physicality.
"It was a great day, a great game and I was happy to help us get the three points," he told the Northampton Chronicle & Echo. "I set up the second goal and I was happy with my performance.
"I expected to take some tackles and I was ready for them, I'm ready for the challenge of that here.
"I found out I was coming (to Northampton) on Monday so it all happened pretty fast but I'm pleased to be given the opportunity to show what I could do."
