Assistant boss Leam Richardson felt Accrington deserved their 1-0 win against Aldershot despite the nature of their goal.
The game at the Crown Ground looked destined to end in stalemate until Romuald Boco's shot was blocked, looped up in the air and Accrington defender Peter Murphy and Shots goalkeeper Jamie Young challenged for the ball.
Young could not keep hold of it and substitute Padraig Amond pounced to secure a 1-0 win for the hosts.
Richardson accepted that it might have been a foul - but he felt refereeing decisions cost Accrington something at Chesterfield on Tuesday night so he was happy to take one that went Stanley's way.
"We are pleased with the three points, we had to be patient but we knew if we kept working our rewards would come," said Richardson. "We deserved the win. I know they felt there was a foul but we had these problems on Tuesday with officials where decisions went against us and this one has gone our way and we will take it.
"They may have a grievance with the goal but not with the result as we dominated possession and the chances were heavily in our favour."
