John Still has called for patience as his lowly Dagenham side continue to search for their first win of the season.
Tuesday night's 1-0 home defeat to Northampton, courtesy of Adebayo Akinfenwa's second-half header, leaves the Daggers with just three draws to their name from the opening seven league matches of the campaign.
Still said: "It's just not going for us at the moment.
"We battled right to the very end again but Northampton have held on. Aidy (Boothroyd) is a good manager and he sets his teams up well, but it's got to be up to us to break opposing teams down, especially here.
"I feel for the fans a little bit, they've stuck with us through thick and thin and they've backed us again.
"We all have to be patient, though. The win will come soon enough. There's too much talent in the squad for it not to."
