Fowler fancies Fleetwood style

Lee Fowler believes Fleetwood's footballing approach will continue to bear fruit in League Two after their impressive start.

Andy Mangan's last-minute winner against Northampton at the weekend gave Micky Mellon's side a fourth consecutive victory to go second in the table and level on points with Tuesday's night's opponents, Port Vale. Welsh midfielder Fowler expects the Cod Army to encounter rough-house tactics as the season progresses but is confident they can stand up to the challenge. "I think in this league all the teams are physical and everything's going to be a battle, but if we play our game Fleetwood's way then I don't think anyone can cope with us," he told Press Association Sport. "If teams want to battle against us then we'll battle, but we are a footballing team who can battle. "If they want to get physical then there's lads in our team who can match up to the physical aspect of it."
