Gillingham boss Martin Allen has been named League Two Manager of the Month for August after an unbeaten start to the season.
Allen's side currently sit top of the division having only dropped two points from a possible 15.
The 47-year-old was quick to praise chairman Paul Scally and his playing staff for their impressive start to the new campaign.
"The chairman promised money this summer and he has delivered. All in all it's gone well so far and I'm very happy," he told Sky Sports News.
"Overall everything is in place. We've got some very good young players here, it's a good blend.
"This job is a totally different challenge. Andy (Hessenthaler) was unlucky to lose his job but I was asked to take over a club that finished eighth last season which was really different for me. People have bought into it and the players have done really well."
