Chesterfield have taken Kieron Cadogan on trial, with the winger a free agent after being released by Crystal Palace.
The 22-year-old winger featured for the Spireites in a 4-2 reserve-team win over Tranmere on Tuesday afternoon, getting his name on the scoresheet along with Craig Clay, Jonathan Wafula and youth-team player Mark Fereday.
Cadogan, who started seven games and made a total of 13 appearances for Rotherham between January and April this year, impressed against Tranmere, but being right-sided is a dis-advantage as a left winger is preferred by caretaker boss Tommy Wright.
