Evans eager to watch Millers

Rotherham are trying to arrange for banned manager Steve Evans to watch Saturday's game with Torquay via live streaming.

Evans was handed a six-match stadium ban after being found guilty of using abusive and insulting words and behaviour with a reference to gender during an incident while manager of Crawley last season. And Evans is keen to watch the game at New York Stadium on television, though if that is not possible to arrange in time, he will go to watch Tuesday's opponents Rochdale at AFC Wimbledon while listening to his side's match on the radio. Evans also confirmed he will take a full part in pre-match preparations, including delivering the teamtalk from a nearby hotel on Saturday morning before handing over the reins to assistant Paul Raynor. "I will be speaking to my staff on the bench, but I have to leave people to their jobs," he said. "I have an experienced assistant manager who has a big input into the games anyway. Paul will make the decisions on Saturday. "It is going to be tough, but that's why they (the FA) did it. I don't agree with the decision but I respect it."
