Mat returns for Dale encounter

AFC Wimbledon will be boosted by the return of skipper Mat Mitchel-King for Saturday's visit of League Two rivals Rochdale.

The defender has missed the Dons' last three matches having been granted compassionate leave but returned to the club on Monday and will get a friendly run-out against Sutton ahead of the weekend clash. His return will be welcomed by boss Terry Brown, especially as fellow centre-half Dale Bennett is an injury doubt with a knee problem. "Mat will be back in the frame for us," said Dons manager Brown. "We have a friendly against Sutton and it will be a chance for Mat and some of the players who have not played much, such as Luke Moore and Christian Jolley, to get a run-out."
