Barnet have signed experienced defender Jonathan Fortune on a free transfer ahead of the upcoming League Two season.

Fortune, who made 213 appearances for Charlton in two spells at The Valley, becomes the Bees' ninth summer signing. Anthony Edgar, Sam Cowler, Jordan Brown, Olly Lee, Freddie Warren, Jack Saville, Ahmed Abdulla and Jon Nurse have already arrived at Underhill during the close season. Fortune, who had a brief spell at Sheffield United between his two stints with the Addicks, had been without a club since being released by Exeter at the end of the last campaign. Fortune, 31, could face former employers Charlton on Thursday night in a friendly at Underhill.
