Aidan Chippendale has signed a one-year deal with Accrington after a successful trial period at the Crown Ground.

The 20-year-old winger came through the ranks at Huddersfield, making his debut in March 2011, before spending part of last season on loan at Inverness. "The aim of coming on trial is to get a a contract and to come here and please the manager enough for him to want to give me a contract is great for me," he said in a club statement. "I've felt very welcome. When I did come here on trial I didn't feel like a trialist, I felt like a part of the squad throughout. This is my opportunity to really kick on. I want to be making starts and getting into the team week in and week out." "He's a player with good pedigree and a great attitude and he wants to learn," said manager Paul Cook. "He certainly has a lot of potential. In the last few weeks we've seen that he has a great left foot and his delivery is as good as any I have seen."
