Rochdale manager John Coleman expects Blackburn youngster Ryan Edwards to head an influx of players into Spotland in the coming weeks.
The captures of Rhys Bennett and Josh Lillis in recent days takes the number of new arrivals at Dale to four this summer as Coleman plots an immediate return to npower League One following last season's relegation.
Centre-back Edwards played a starring role in Rovers' FA Youth Cup final side last term and Rochdale are confident of tying up a loan deal for the 18-year-old.
"We are certainly quite confident of bringing Ryan Edwards in on loan from Blackburn," Coleman told his club's official website.
"We'd like to take him permanently, but Blackburn rate him quite highly so that not going to be a goer at the moment. We have spoken to other players and we could see an influx of signings on July 1."
