Accrington have completed the signing of midfielder Bohan Dixon on a one-year deal.

The 6ft 4ins 22-year-old has earned his first professional contract having impressed Stanley boss Paul Cook with his performances in Merseyside local league football. "I've been monitoring him for a bit," said Cook on the Reds' official website. "I watch a lot of Sunday and Saturday football in Liverpool and the inner city areas and Bohan plays at the top level of those. "He's got great attributes, he's a physically strong lad and is very athletic and gets round the pitch well. He's also got a lot of faults because he's only a young lad but he'll learn. "We've given him an opportunity to come in on a contract. It will take time and it will all be new for him but he's shown signs of having a little bit of talent in there that we like." Dixon added: "I was over the moon to sign and my family and friends are delighted for me. Hopefully this is the start of a professional career for me. It's not sunk in yet. I think that when I come and start training it will kick in properly."
