Burton's longest-serving player Aaron Webster has extended his stay at the club by another year.
Webster has signed a new one-year contract and the 2012/13 season will be his 15th for the Brewers. The 31-year-old left-back, who has scored 100 goals in 577 appearances, told the club's official website: "It's nice to have things sorted now. I've had a few weeks to consider things. A few clubs have been in contact with me but I always wanted to stay. "I was happy that the manager wanted me to stay and that was a big motivation for me to stay as well. I love this club but to have the manager calling me several times over the last few weeks wanting me to stay is a good feeling." Boss Gary Rowett added: "It is great news that Aaron is signing for us again. I have always wanted to keep Aaron at the club and it was just about structuring a deal that gets the best out of him. "Hopefully we have managed to do that and Aaron is happy with it. It is a one-year deal but if Aaron performs well then we have the option of giving him another year. We are trying to reward him but it is rewarding him for performances, the amount of games he plays and the quality of those games."
