Dunbavin extends Stanley stay

Accrington goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin has agreed a one-year contract extension with the League Two club.

The 31-year-old has made 141 appearances for Stanley since joining them in the summer of 2006 and recently regained his first-team slot at the expense of on-loan Wigan youngster Lee Nicholls. "I'm delighted to be signing a new deal especially after a new manager has come in," said Dunbavin in a club statement. "When that happens you're never sure what happens next and what your future is. "The gaffer has come in and impressed all the lads with the way he goes about things and I'm just made up to be back on board and involved for another year really."
