Shrewsbury midfielder Dave McAllister will serve a three-game ban after his appeal was rejected by the FA.
Town appealed against the on-loan midfielder's dismissal in the 1-1 draw with Aldershot at the weekend, but the FA have ruled the evidence submitted did not have enough clarity for the decision to be overturned.
McAllister, on loan from Sheffield United, will not play for Shrews again this season as his suspension will not end before his loan deal expires.
