Jamie Pitman praised Hereford after they ended a run of 10 home games without a win by beating AFC Wimbledon 2-1 at Edgar Street.

Goals from Lyle Taylor and Tom Barkhuizen secured Hereford's first home victory since last October when they beat Barnet 1-0, with Jack Midson pulling one back for Dons.

"There has been a big question mark against them but I have never questioned them," said Pitman.

"They are an honest bunch of lads who really do work hard and I am proud of them more than anything.

"It was very difficult for them playing against the wind, with long throw-ins coming into the box, but I thought they coped with it very well."
