Pesch: Brewers had an off-day

Boss Paul Peschisolido admitted Burton did not give a good account of themselves in losing 2-0 at Cheltenham.

Jermaine McGlashan steered the Robins to victory. The former Aldershot ace opened his account with a fifth-minute opener and had a number of chances to put the game beyond the visitor's reach before Sido Jombati added a second after Albion new-boy Patrick Ada had been sent off. Jeff Goulding could also afford to miss a first-half penalty for Cheltenham, awarded after another McGlashan run ended with him being shoved over inside the area. "We never turned up. In fairness to (Cheltenham manager) Mark (Yates) he has put together a very strong squad but we didn't help ourselves - we were poor," said Peschisolido. "We are a very good team when we perform but we didn't perform in this game. It was a one-sided game that they dominated and we didn't help ourselves. "Let's take nothing away from them - they are a good side and they are (towards the) top of the table for a reason. But we are better than we showed here. Maybe I got it wrong - I put the team together but everything I did seemed to go wrong."
