Burton have signed former Kilmarnock defender Patrick Ada on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Ada has been training with Albion recently after being released by the SPL club in January. Burton boss Paul Peschisolido, tried to sign Ada last summer after the 27-year-old left League Two rivals Crewe, said: "Patrick is a whole-hearted defender. He can play right across the back four and in a defensive midfield position. "He has a hell of a drive about him, he really believes in himself. He is aggressive, he is strong, he is a competitor and he is a lovely lad as well. He has come in and worked extremely hard and proved to me he is worth keeping until the end of the season." Former Histon player Ada, who is a free agent, added: "I had a good chat with Paul (Peschisolido) and he made my decision easy, I knew that Burton is a place where I want to be. Paul is a young, upcoming manager, he has a plan for Burton and I want to be part of that. "I am the type of player who can't hide because I am a very energetic, powerful, committed player, I work for the team and the fans. Everywhere I have been the fans have loved me because of my commitment. I give everything, I am not leaving anything at home."
