Former Crewe defender Patrick Ada is training with Burton, where he hopes to earn a contract to play for the League Two club.
Ada is a free agent having recently been released by Kilmarnock as part of cost-saving measures at the SPL club. Burton boss Paul Peschisolido tried to sign Ada last summer after the 27-year-old left League Two rivals Crewe. Ada has been training with Albion since last week and Peschisolido is keen to sign the former Histon player on a short-term deal for the remainder of the season.
