Bristol Rovers' Matt Gill believes becoming a selling club has become an essential pre-requisite for lower-league survival.
Gill, whose own club currently have two stars of the future on their books in Lee Brown and Eliot Richards, appreciates it is difficult for smaller teams to hang onto their prized assets in the current economic climate.
And he admitted that Rovers would eventually have to cash in on the cream of their talented young crop.
"The lads under contract will have their prices. There aren't many League Two clubs who aren't selling clubs," said the Rovers skipper.
"It's part and parcel of the modern game of football, it keeps clubs afloat - bringing your own players through and selling them on.
"I'm sure Bristol Rovers Football Club is no different, but they'll be out to keep hold of them as long as possible."
