Bentley pleased with point

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley was happy with a point away to AFC Wimbledon despite being on course for all three at Kingsmeadow.

In Saturday's League Two clash, Gary McDonald headed the Shrimps into a 52nd-minute lead which they held until Rashid Yussuff's 75th-minute equaliser grabbed a share of the spoils for the hosts. "Coming into the game we knew it was a tough one," Bentley said. "Wimbledon are similar to ourselves as they've been in a sticky patch in the last 11 or 12 games. "If we got the three points that would have been a great away performance but I can't take anything away from the lads. "They put in a great shift and we deserved the point. I've said all along we've been playing well enough, it's just taking chances or getting punished for one or two mistakes we make. "We hoped to get a positive result against Wimbledon but a point here isn't too bad. I'm pleased overall and we're now two unbeaten. Every one of them can be proud of their efforts but we need to work on certain little bits in training."
