Bees earn praise after draw

Image: Sanchez: Youngsters have done well

Barnet manager Lawrie Sanchez praised his young side as they extended their unbeaten run to five games with a goalless draw at Plymouth.

Sanchez handed full debuts to on-loan Reading winger Jordan Obita and Arsenal full-back Sead Hajrovic. Obita, 18, came closest to breaking the deadlock with a thundering 35-yard free-kick that beat home goalkeeper Jake Cole but flew off the crossbar. "We are a bit disappointed that we did not take all three points, but at the end of the day we have kept a clean sheet and the unbeaten run going," said Sanchez. "At the same time we have kept a team fighting for the lives the same number of points below us after the game as they were at the beginning of the day. "I said to the players I was pleased with them because the baseline was that we didn't get beaten here and on the balance of play we should have had three points. "You look at the age of that team, they are a very young side, and where we were a couple of months, it's turned around. We are solid, resilient and have got a lot attacking prowess in us and, but for a little bit of luck, we would be going home with another win. We will have to try and get those three points against Shrewsbury on Saturday."
