Barker curses Shakers luck

Richie Barker believes his Bury side were unlucky not to hold on for what would have been a stunning win at Charlton.

The Shakers led through Lenell John-Lewis' 42nd-minute opener and kept their table-topping hosts at bay until they were finally undone at the death by Stephens' dramatic 93rd-minute strike. "It is one of those things that the longer it goes on you start to think maybe," said Barker "We've not had a great deal of luck over the last couple of weeks so you start to think 'this is our luck', and we do need a bit of luck. "For Bury to come to Charlton, who are top of the league, and take three points off them we can't do it on ability alone because we have come such a long way. "So we do need a bit of luck and unfortunately that strike wasn't the luck we needed."
