Sky Sports understands a number of clubs are tracking Torquay defender Chris Robertson.
Robertson is out of contract at the end of the season and as yet no new deal has been agreed.
The news has alerted a host of sides to Robertson's possible availability on a free transfer in the summer.
The 25-year-old has established himself as a key member of the Torquay side since arriving from Sheffield United in 2007.
Robertson has played in 24 of Torquay's 26 League Two games this season and Gulls boss Martin Ling will be keen to keep hold of the versatile defender.
