Still backs team to end slump

Manager John Still remains confident despite Dagenham extending their winless streak to six games after a 1-0 defeat to Torquay.

Gulls skipper Lee Mansell smashed in the 39th-minute winner at Plainmoor on Tuesday night to keep Daggers in the League Two relegation zone. Still said: "We've been playing well. I would even say we were playing well at Crewe on Saturday until they got a freak goal and an unfortunate slip by our keeper changed the complexion of the game. "We played as well if not better and were unlucky not to get something from the game. We have played really well lately and we've just got to maintain that. "We dug in and bounced back from the Crewe result, started well and continued as we started. I am delighted with our form and with my players. "We need some more of our experienced players to come back into the side and I am hoping by Saturday we may have at least two more back from injury which will be another boost."
