Billy Bodin paid tribute to boss Martin Ling, claiming a tactical change arrested Torquay 's nosedive earlier this season.

Winger Bodin, who spent the first half of the term on loan at Plainmoor from Swindon, is now back at his parent club as he looks to fight his way into boss Paolo Di Canio's plans for the Robins' promotion push in League Two. But, looking back fondly at the time he spent on the English Riviera, the Wales Under-21 international had plenty of praise for Ling and the way he turned Torquay's season around. "He's a good manager. He's quite chilled out but he's a good manager and he proved that when he was at Leyton Orient as well," Bodin said. "It was a bit up and down but towards the end it was good and we won a fair few games. "He changed the tactics and he wanted everyone to work hard and press as a team and it looked like it worked."
