Logan eyes new Grecians deal

A new contract is in Richard Logan's sights as he looks to keep banging in the goals for Exeter.

The forward, whose current deal with the Grecians expires this summer, has found the net four times this term but has targeted at least double figures by the season's end. And Logan hopes that will be enough to convince the powers-that-be at St James' Park that he deserves an extended stay in Devon. He told the Western Morning News: "I'm out of contract at Exeter at the end of the season so I've got to try and get a new contract here. If I don't get a new contract here, I want to put myself in a good position to get a contract elsewhere. "A lot of people keep writing me off and say it's time to go. I keep reading things that it would be best for the club if they got rid of me. It's not nice when you read these sorts of things, but if you go out and score goals hopefully it will silence them. "I've got to keep improving and my aim is to try to catch Nards (Daniel Nardiello, Logan's Exeter team-mate). It's going to be tough because he's on eight but my target is to get past him. To get a couple of goals in the last couple of games is nice, but I can't rest on that now because I've only got four goals this season."
