The quality of football in League One and League Two is fairly similar, according to Swindon midfielder Simon Ferry.

The Scot, who was an integral part of the Robins side which reached the League One play-off final two seasons ago before falling out of favour as the Wiltshire club were relegated to the division below last term, has plenty of experience at both levels.

And he feels the Football League's basement division comes in for a little too much criticism.

"It's not that far off League One. It's a similar standard," he said. "We've played at some good stadiums which have been decent so it's been all right. It's not too much of a difference and you get some decent players as well.

"You see boys dropping from the Championship to play in League Two and you see boys in League Two getting moves to the Championship.

"Maybe the Championship's a bit of a different in class but League Two and League One are quite similar."
