Midfielder Damon Lathrope has revealed crisis talks following a poor start helped turn Torquay's season around.
Lathrope revealed the Gulls sat down following their 4-1 defeat to Southend on October 22 to discuss what had led to them failing to win in eight outings.
The Gulls have since lost just once - to Sheffield United in the FA Cup - and their 1-0 victory against Barnet on Friday was their fifth in six League Two outings.
"That's football. It's all ups and downs. It's about digging in when it is going well and, when it's not going so well, it's all about not crumbling," Lathrope said.
"When we lost to Southend we had a meeting on the Monday morning and said we needed to sort it out and work together to do it. Since then we haven't looked back.
"You've got to stick together in those kinds of situations and when things are going wrong that helps."
