Midfielder Damon Lathrope has praised the Torquay fans for standing by their team during a difficult period earlier this season.
The Gulls endured an eight-match winless streak in September and October, before emerging from the sticky patch with four consecutive wins in League Two. And Lathrope, who has been an integral part of the Plainmoor outfit this term, believes the Devon club's supporters deserve to be recognised. "You've got to have the fans behind you and when you're doing well of course they will be behind you," he said. "Our fans have been brilliant this season because they've been right with us even when we weren't doing so well earlier this year and it's helped us get going again."
