Key Crawley duo Claude Davis and Tyrone Barnett are battling to be fit for Saturday's League Two clash with Hereford.
Centre-half Davis has been playing despite a persistent toe injury recently, while seven-goal striker Barnett has missed the last two matches with a hamstring problem.
But both players were back in light training at the start of the week and manager Steve Evans will give them as long as possible to prove their fitness.
"Claude has a pretty good chance, he did a little bit of running," Evans told Crawley News.
"Tyrone is in a similar position but we want them both to be available as they are both big players for us."
