Torquay manager Martin Ling has conceded that striker Taiwo Atieno's confidence is at a low ebb.
The 26-year-old has managed only one goal in 18 appearances for the Gulls this season and has not found the back of the net since August 13 - a run of 15 goalless games.
However, Ling has backed the Kenyan forward to rediscover his goalscoring touch before too long.
"Tai's playing without confidence at the moment," Ling told BBC Radio Devon. "He's a striker that's only got one goal, he's not getting a regular start but he's got to keep digging away.
"Confidence is a funny thing and he's not getting a run in the team in terms of consistency but he's a big asset.
"He needs to get back to what he was doing in pre-season, he was scintillating in pre-season."
